About a month ago, I decided to release a beat called “Shnap Bacc”. Since then, I have been doing heavy promotion for it and have received great responses! Originally, I wanted the beat to be a stand-alone track; no vocals. However, after numerous inquiries of people wanting to use it, I decided that it wouldn’t hurt to see what people could CREATE over my beat. With that being said, I am completely open to anyone wanting to use my beat “Shnap Bacc”. All I ask is that you credit me for my work and send me your final version via YouTube (it doesn’t have to be a video. I can be a pic with your info on it) or Soundcloud, so that I can post it on this website! I would love to hear how my beat moves you!

Starting it off is my dude DJ Soops all the way from London! He took an Amy Winehouse acapella and remixed it with “Shnap Bacc”. Salute to DJ Soops on the dope mashup!

The Legendary Slum Village and Dwele were rocking the Key Club this past Friday. You know I had to be in attendance! There was no way I was going to miss this show. I mean after all, one of my favorite albums of ALL-TIME is Fantastic Vol. 2! They had 3 opening acts, so it wasn’t too bad. I remember I went to a Hieroglyphics show, and they had like 7 opening acts (Gotdamn!). First to hit the stage was Swif, which stood for “Singing What I Feel”. Swif and his band were a good opening act, singing R&B and Blues. He also had one of his back-up singers playing the bass for him on one song. It’s always good to see a lady playing the bass guitar! Next up was local Los Angeles Artist, Jae Nice. He rocked the stage and had plenty of giveaways which included wristbands, shirts, and a snap back hat. His flow was nice over some really dope jazz-infused Hip Hop beats; some reminiscent of J Dilla and A Tribe Called Quest. I don’t remember what the 3rd act’s name was. All I remember is his band was called, The Next Episode Band. I’m mad I didn’t catch the rapper’s name because out of all the opening acts, I thought they were the dopest! If anyone from the show is reading this, please let me know who that guy was! Now, it was time for Slum Village to hit the stage! T3 and Illa J came out rocking!!! They played a lot of my favorites which included Selfish, Tainted, Get Dis Money, Won’t Do, Raise It Up, I Don’t Know, and more! I still can’t believe they did “Won’t Do”, which is my favorite Dilla song of ALL-TIME! Everyone got ultra-AMPed when that came on! Although T3 and Illa J completely rocked the stage, it saddens me that I’ll never get to see T3, Elzhi, Baatin, and Dilla on stage together. However, if I can catch another S.V. show with T3 and Illa J I’d definitely do it again. They brought high-energy! After ending their set with “Raise it up”, it was time for Dwele to hit the stage. He kind of winged his set, playing everything by ear (lol). He had this segment called, Dwele’s Pick-Up Lines. One of the pick up lines was “[Insert Woman's Name], that’s a nice shirt. Can I read it in braille?” (hilarious!) Overall, it was a great night. Everyone was entertaining and it was definitely worth $40. The whole thing lasted about 5 hours, and needless to say, I was ready to amputate my feet! I wish I had a better camera but, here are some pics and a vid of the nights festivities!

I HAD to snap a pic with my buddy Samuel, the ostrich! I spent Halloween this year at the Cabana Club in Hollywood. I don’t normally do the whole costume thing, but I figured why not go for the experience! The Do Over season was really good this year, so the Boo-Over was a natural decision. As expected, the venue was packed with all kinds of characters (costume was mandatory). You can check the characters that were in attendance here:
